Camp Fire First Texas Job Summary<br /> Position: Teacher<br /> Status: Full time<br /> Location: Camp Fire First Texas Child Development Center<br /> Salary Range: $10.00 to $14.00 hourly, depending on experience and/or education<br /> <br /> Job Summary: Teach, develop, plan and implement daily curriculum, which is developmentally appropriate and is based on curriculum provided by the CDC in collaboration with Frog Street and Conscious Discipline practices. Ensure that routines are carried out in a manner that is consistent with best practices and NAEYC standards. This includes routines related to diapering, toilet training, hand washing, tooth brushing, eating, napping and transitioning between activities. Supervise and participate in group activities with the children.<br /> Essential Functions:<br /> Must be able to observe children through site and sound<br /> <br /> Implement positive/Conscious discipline techniques<br /> Maintain appropriate classroom management<br /> Ability to lift, pull, push, carry and hold children and/or objects up to approximately 40 pounds<br /> Occasionally lift about 50 pounds.&nbsp;<br /> Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:<br /> CDA/Associates or BA level ECE or related field<br /> Teaching&nbsp; (2+ years) in a licensed child care settings<br /> Knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practice&nbsp;<br /> Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:<br /> Documented proof of satisfactory TB test &nbsp;<br /> First Aid/CPR which includes Pediatric training<br /> Experience working with young children&nbsp;<br /> <br /> Camp Fire&rsquo;s Culture:<br /> Camp Fire First Texas is one of the largest Camp Fire councils in the country.
